Manchester United supporters hailed Eric Bailly after he produced another unexpected attacking contribution in Friday's 4-1 victory over Melbourne Victory at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Just as he did against Liverpool on Tuesday, Bailly stepped off the bench at half-time and played a key role in helping United increase their lead. The Ivorian motored forward from centre-back and played an excellent through ball for Marcus Rashford to latch onto and cooly slot home United's third goal.
It was a brilliant run and pass from the centre-back, who earned plaudits for his role in United's fourth goal against Liverpool in Bangkok. Against Jurgen Klopp's side, the defender sparked a sensational counter-attack, dancing his way past Thiago, before allowing Amad and Facundo Pellistri to combine for the latter to score.

This time, Bailly ensured he grabbed an assist of his own, wonderfully teeing up Rashford, allowing him to score his first goal of pre-season. The England international stepped off the bench at half-time with Bailly, as manager Erik ten Hag made a total of ten changes.
Unsurprisingly, Bailly's heroics earned an immediate reaction on social media, just as his role in the fourth goal against Liverpool did. It was a brilliant pass and one that a seasoned architect-in-chief, such as Bruno Fernandes, would have been happy with.
