NFL Network analyst and former offensive lineman Brian Baldinger has been one of the Tennessee Titans’ biggest supporters throughout the offseason — and more specifically when it comes to their defense.
However, during his most recent “Baldy’s Breakdowns”, Baldinger took the time to compliment the Titans’ offense for some of the big plays it connected on against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.
Buy Titans TicketsBaldy broke down Ryan Tannehill’s deep shots to Treylon Burks and Chris Moore. Both of these plays came at crucial points in the game for two very different reasons.
Tannehill connected with Burks on a 70-yard completion in the second quarter when the team was down 11-0, and with the lifeless offense in desperate need of a spark.
As you’ll see in the video below, Burks did a phenomenal job of attacking cornerback Asante Samuel Jr.’s leverage and stacking on top of the defender, subsequently creating an easy throwing window for Tannehill to hit.
A similar play happened later in the game when the Titans trailed in the fourth quarter, needing a touchdown to take the lead.
Tannehill ends up ripping a beautiful 49-yard completion to Moore behind seven-man protection. Baldinger goes on to explain his disappointment with the Chargers’ defense in these scenarios, also.
You can find the breakdown in its entirety posted below on Baldy’s official X account.
.@Titans got 2 explosive plays for +70 and +49 by Burks & Moore that both lead to #Titanup TD’s. @chargers Gita know on 1-10 in 2 TE’s that play action…Deep shots are coming. @BaldyNFL #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/7n1DLfVoHB

Hopefully the Titans’ offense can build on this Week 2 showing in what will be another difficult matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.
