Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios just launched the MMO's latest major update, Patch 7, which adds a lot of new content, including mod tools and manager, evil endings, and many more.
The latest patch adds a much-requested feature to the game that lets players use mods on their own playthroughs. The release of Patch 7 followed a close alpha that was held in June as well as an open beta in July.

The new update also lets players go around with user-created weapons, armor, classes and subclasses, spells, dice skins, and nearly anything else that can be imagined. The mods are now available through an official in-game Mod Manager as well as on external channels.
In a post, Larian Studios said that it will never stop players from modding outside of its own official pipeline. However, the developer did say that its officially approved mods target stability and cross-platform compatibility, according to Engadget.
The developer added that it also wanted to make sure that players have a smoother experience with mods. However, it argued that the official pipeline would come at the cost of script-focused modding, which can still be done on external channels.
Earlier this summer, Larian Studios said that mod support for Baldur's Gate 3 would come to PC first and MAC and console will get it later on. However, the developer recently released an update, saying that console and macOS players can expect it to come in October.
Other additions with the latest patch include new evil and dark urge endings that are considered horrific stopping points for players' adventures. They should work whether you are on a new playthrough or not, said PCGamer.
New Evil Endings
These are said to be so diabolical that the explicit content toggle even catches some of them. The notes for the latest patch also mentioned the newly-renamed "Show Sexual and Violent Cinematics."
The developer mentioned that the option for the lovely and not-at-all-in-danger Alfira to join your companions for just one night is temporary. It added that there are no new companions as "There is only death."
Baldur's Gate 3's Patch 7 adds 13 evil endings that include cinematics as well as unique endings for Origin characters. On top of the mod tools and manager and new endings, the latest update made some general improvements to the game.
One of these is Honour Mode, which introduced new Legendary Actions and other fixes to Baldur's Gate 3, according to WCCFTech.
