A man suffering from hair loss was left stunned after seeing himself with a full head of luscious locks for the first time in years.
Al, 42, had been suffering from hair loss for the past few years and found that his thinning locks had impacted his confidence, so he decided to do something about it, the Daily Star reports.
He reached out to Rob Wood, the owner of Novo Cabelo Hair, for a makeover.
Showing Al's hair loss around the crown of his head, Rob said on TikTok: "Over the last few years, he's really struggled with confidence and identity, so he wants a hair system to bring back the old Al.
"First, we cover up the mirror so he can't see anything and we go straight to work.
"Tidy up the sides, prep the scalp and apply the system."
Rob then gave Al a trim and blow dry to set the hair before revealing the new look to his customer.
"Sexy hairline — check. Now let's see what he thinks," he said.
Al could not believe his eyes when he saw the transformation, saying "Oh my God! That looks unbelievable".
"Oh where has Alvin gone?" he said, before running his hands through his rejuvenated head of hair and calling it "f***ing crazy".
Rob was seen smiling from ear to ear when he saw Al's reaction.
One viewer said: "It's so hard to describe as a man when you lose your hair and how it makes you hide yourself away! This is incredible!"
"Oh my God! Amazing, looks younger but looks like a different man. Brilliant!" a second added.
A third said Al "de-aged" 15 years in seconds thanks to the hair system.
"You just took 20 years off the guy," a fourth added and a person shared: "He looked much older than 42 before.
"After, he looked much younger! Incredible transformation."
No treatment is 100% effective in preventing hair loss, according to the NHS.
The main medical remedies for the condition - technically called 'male pattern baldness' - are drugs called finasteride and minoxidil.
However, the health service warned that the medicines do not work for everyone, are not available on the NHS, and can be expensive.
Other treatment options include steroid creams, hair transplants, scalp reduction surgery, tattooing and artificial hair.
