Balaclava yobs found hiding in bushes at South Liverpool high school

A group of yobs wearing balaclavas were found hiding in the bushes on the grounds of a South Liverpool high school.

The group had attempted to break into St Julie's High School in Woolton on Thursday, October 27.. When officers arrived, police dog Rita quickly spotted three youths "trying to hide in the bushes".

Police took to Twitter to add the group had "definitely learned their lesson". Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO that one member of the group was found to be in possession of cannabis.

The spokesperson said: "A report was received at around 4.45pm that a group of males wearing balaclavas had jumped over the wall of St Julies High School in Woolton. Two males and one female under the age of 18 were located on the grounds of Woolton Hall next to the school.

"One was found to be in possession of a controlled Class B drug, cannabis. He was return to his parents and given a community resolution order."
