Balaclava gang caught raiding Scots garage on CCTV before theft of luxury motors

A masked gang have been caught on CCTV cameras stealing luxury BMW motors from a garage.

Three vehicles were nicked, including the two Beamers, during the raid at H&J Burgoyne in Airth, Stirlingshire.

The motors were seen being driven at high speed towards Stirling after the thefts between 3am and 9am on Sunday.

Keys to other vehicles were also taken and the main office trashed, with the CCTV system ripped out.

The garage owner said: “This was a mindless vicious attack with offices wrecked, juice machines smashed and a lot of keys taken for a variety of other vehicles, rendering them useless.

“Also number plate making machine taken and CCTVripped out.

“The cars were spotted driving from Airth towards Stirling at high speeds.”

A major probe has been launched by police, who appealed for witnesses.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a break-in and theft of three vehicles from a premises on the A905 in Falkirk, on the morning Sunday, 27 March, 2022.

A 15-year-old male you has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing."

Also on Sunday, a white Skoda was discovered on fire in a car park in Airth.

Police said: “We were called around 5.40am on Sunday, 27 March, to a report of a white Skoda on fire in a car park just off the A905 in Airth, Falkirk.

“Inquiries established it had been stolen from the Gorgie area of Edinburgh.

“A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft.”
