Baker Mayfield led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a win on Sunday over the Carolina Panthers to secure the NFC South title and a playoff spot.
With this win came more than just an upcoming playoff run for the quarterback—Mayfield also earned $1 million in incentives just for taking the Buccaneers to the postseason.
Buccaneers fans were obviously hyped about the playoff berth, and those in attendance at Bank of America Stadium began chanting “Baker!” as the quarterback walked off the field following the 9–0 win.

Just last season, Mayfield dealt with being cut from the Panthers mid-season. Then, he played five games with the Los Angeles Rams. Now, he will make just his second playoff appearance in his career after he led the Cleveland Browns to the divisional round in the 2020 season.
The Buccaneers finish the season with a 9–8 record and sit in the fourth spot of the NFC playoff picture.
