Bake Off icon Mary Berry spotted at Edinburgh restaurant Scran and Scallie

Culinary icon, and lover of all things baked, Mary Berry made an appearance at an Edinburgh restaurant owned by Scottish chef Tom Kitchin on Sunday night.

Channel 4 star Mary Berry was spotted at Scran and Scallie in Edinburgh on Sunday evening, enjoying a relaxed meal with friends.

Owner, and fellow chef, Tom Kitchin, posted the photo of the loved TV star with his restaurant manager on social media, with the caption: "So lovely to welcome the national treasure #MaryBerry to The Scran & Scallie last night.. Thanks for visiting Mary and thanks for being so great..

"Here she is with our restaurant manager Matthew…"

Mary posed with manager Matthew after her meal, which prompted fans of both chefs to take to Tom's comments to share their thoughts.

One Instagram user said: "Living legend!"

And a third said: "Love it there!"

Scran and Scallie's official Instagram account commented a series of clapping emojis, as they posted the photo to their page with the caption: "How lovely to have the charming Mary Berry in for her Sunday supper at The Scran & Scallie last night.

"We love this photo of Mary and our Restaurant Manager Matthew! Come back again soon Mary!"
