Bailey Zappe hilariously sung along to ‘Stacy’s Mom’ after leading the Patriots to back-to-back TDs

New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe wasn’t too overwhelmed by the moment to appreciate the little things.

After taking over for struggling Patriots QB Mac Jones in the second quarter of Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bears, Zappe led two phenomenal touchdown drives that should muddy the water in Foxboro as to who should continue to get starting reps.

Though, after two potentially career-changing drives, the former Western Kentucky QB decided to just enjoy the music between drives. To be exact, he sang along to the Fountains of Wayne hit “Stacy’s Mom.”

Yes, folks, Bailey Zappe has got it going on.

A little punk rock never killed anybody, and obviously, “Stacy’s Mom” is one of the easiest songs to sing along to once you hear it. But it’s not Pearl Jam’s wonderful-yet-incomprehensible “Yellow Ledbetter.” If Zappe could effectively sing along to that one, he should automatically make the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

If singing between drives helps keep Zappe in the zone, the entire region of New England might bring boomboxes to the next Patriots home game he starts, cheering on the QB John Cusack/Say Anything-style.

New England has been waiting for the next Tom Brady, and maybe Zappe is the guy. That’s a harmony all of New England would love to hear.
