Bailey Rice had to be stretchered off for Rangers in the second half of the match against Athletic Bilbao.
The youngster had been thrown into the side by Barry Ferguson as one of six changes from the loss to Hibernian at the weekend.
Rice, 18, has been tipped for a major future in the game and at Rangers and looked impressive in the European tie.

However, the young midfielder left the pitch on a stretcher in the second half after a nasty collision with Maroan Sannadi.
Rice stayed down after the accidental collision with referee Istvan Kovacs immediately signalling for a stretcher and medical attention for the teenager.
After a seven-minute delay, applause broke out around the stadium as Rice was carried off the pitch. He was replaced by Connor Barron.
