Bailey Peacock-Farrell hoping 'influential' teammate is back playing again soon

Bailey Peacock-Farrell says he would "love" to see Stuart Dallas back playing again as soon as possible.

The Leeds United midfielder has been out for over a year since fracturing his femur against Manchester City last April.

Dallas has been a big influence on Peacock-Farrell since their early days together at Leeds and also on international duty and the goalkeeper is hoping they will be back playing together for Northern Ireland again sooner rather than later.

“It’s horrible, I was watching the game when he got injured and I texted him straight after," said the 26-year-old.

“It’s not nice because he’s having a long time out with it and it’s a real shame.

“I love having him here and he is such a big part of this team and the Leeds team.

"To not see him play isn’t good and I’d love to see him playing as soon as possible.

“He was a familiar face (when Peacock-Farrell was first called up to NI) which helps so much. It helps you settle in quickly and he was influential for me."

Peacock-Farrell will be a Premier League player next season after gaining promotion with Burnley, but the big stopper says he would like to play abroad some day like fellow Northern Ireland 'keeper Conor Hazard has done when he went on loan to HJK Helsinki.

“Yeah, it really fascinates me," said Peacock-Farrell. "I’d really like to play in any of the leagues in Europe at some point.

“I wouldn’t be saying no to anything like that in the future but we’ll see what comes up if that time ever comes down the line.”
