Baftas 2025: All the fabulous (and frightful) red carpet looks — Demi Moore, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet

Anyone who happened to come by The Royal Festival Hall on Sunday evening would be forgiven for thinking they had arrived at a funeral, as the stars of our screens arrived — for the most part dressed in black — for the BAFTAs 2025.

However, while monochrome ruled, Demi Moore and Pamela Anderson made sure to make a more sparkling impression. Moore, nominated for the Leading Actress BAFTA for her role in The Substance, opted for a custom Alexander McQueen beaded gown by creative director Seán McGirr, while Anderson was a vision in all white, opting for a custom Jacquemus gown complete with a 1.5 metre train.

Cynthia Erivo (Getty Images)

Also opting for white was Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo, wearing a sculptural lace Louis Vuitton gown. She was joined by her co-star Ariana Grande who demanded attention with her plunging black dress with a frothy pink taffeta skirt, also from Louis Vuitton.

Other standouts included Camila Cabello, in Sabina Bilenko Couture, Saoirse Ronan in Louis Vuitton, Anora’s Mikey Madison in Prada and Selena Gomez in custom Schiaparelli.

Gwendoline Christie (Getty Images)

The best dressed woman in black was Gwendoline Christie, who looked like a dazzling druid with long hair extensions adorned with black bows. She lead a pack including Anna Kendrick, Zoe Saldana, Felicity Jones, Kaya Scodelario and Marisa Abela all of whom chose body conscious black dresses for the occasion. Molly-Mae Hague, making an unexpected appearance, wore a broad-shouldered black blazer and skirt from ARAKII.

On the male front, it was Timothée Chalamet in his cropped Bottega Veneta suit who stole the most screams, completing his outfit with cowboy boots from Dalton and a neck full of Cartier diamonds. Thankfully, no Lime bike this time. Bridget Jones star Leo Woodall added sparkle to his dinner jacket with a brooch, while Joe Alwyn wore a fabric rose boutonnière.

Missing from proceedings were the Prince and Princess of Wales, who over the years have been the star of the BAFTA evening. As President of Bafta, Prince William was expected to arrive, and royal fans held out hope for a sighting of Kate Middleton in a ballgown. It has been reported, however, that the couple are on holiday in Mustique, a luxury island in the Caribbean.
