BAFTA TV nominations 2022 - where to watch on Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime

Nominations for this year's BAFTA TV awards have been announced as keen television watchers will be hoping to catch up on the best of the year's shows.

The shows are available to watch across a range of platforms in the UK including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Channel 4's It's A Sin is up for 11 awards across the board and is one of the most popular choices of programmes over the last year.

The Russell T Davies show looks at the lives of young gay men in the 1980s negotiating their identity and the AIDS crisis that began to take a horrifying grip on the community.

Other shows like Vigil and Unforgotten are up for the prestigious Drama Series award. Other nominated shows include Squid Game and The Mare of Easttown starring Kate Winslet.

The awards will take place on May 8 later this year, and people may want to catch up on any of the nominees they missed in the build-up to the event.

Where can I watch It's A Sin?

It's A Sin's heartbreaking episodes are on 4od (Shared Content Unit)

The Channel 4 drama It's A Sin is currently available to watch online at 4oD, as well as Sky Go and BritBox.

Amazon Prime Video users can buy the series for £11.99.

Channel 4 described the show: "Drama from Russell T Davies about five friends. With their lives tested as they grow up in the shadow of AIDS, they're determined to live and love more fiercely than ever."

It stars Olly Alexander and Lydia West, who are up for the Leading Actor and Leading Actress awards respectively, while Callum Scott Howells, David Carlyle and Omari Douglas go head-to-head in the Supporting Actor category.

Where can I watch Manhunt: The Night Stalker?

Martin Clunes stars in the dark drama about serial killer Levi Bellfield (ITV)

Manhunt: The Night Stalker is currently available to stream on ITV Hub and BritBox

Martin Clunes stars former London Metropolitan Police Detective Chief Inspector Colin Sutton in the second series of the show which looks at the serial killer Levi Bellfield. It is nominated in the Best Drama category.

Bellfield, also known as 'The Bus Stop Killer, was a serial killer, kidnapper and rapist who was convicted of a number of murders including Milly Dowler in 2002.

Where can I watch Vigil?

Vigil explored the dark depths of the ocean, as well as the murky world of a Navy murder (BBC/World Productions)

BBC drama Vigil is available on BBC iPlayer, Virgin TV GO and Sky Go and is nominated in the Best Drama category.

Featuring Line of Duty's Martin Compston as well as Suranne Jones in a lead role, Vigil is a murder story on a nuclear submarine on a mission to keep its secrets quiet.

Where can I watch Unforgotten?

Unforgotten looks at the cold cases that were unsolved and a fifth series has been announced (ITV)

Nominated for Best Drama, series 4 of Unforgotten is available on ITV Hub and BritBox.

The show is your typical British crime drama and follows a team of London detectives trying to crack cold cases.

Detectives Cassie Stuart and Sunny Khan are played by Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar respectively.

Where can I watch the BAFTA nominees?

Korean drama Squid Game was a huge hit and is available to watch online (Netflix)

The rest of the nominations include the Best Mini-series category and Best International show. Global smash-hit Squid Game is up for an award and quickly became one of Netflix's most popular ever shows.

Another nomination in the Best Drama category is In My Skin, which is available on BBC iPlayer, BritBox and Sky Go, as well as Virgin TV Go.

The series is also available to rent on Amazon, Apple TV and Google Play.

The coming of age drama received the nomination for its second series and stars Gabrielle Creevy as schoolgirl Bethan and her troubled home life.
