Bafta TV Awards 2023: When are the awards, how to watch and who is hosting

The BAFTA TV Awards 2023 are just weeks away. The industry will soon come together for the glamorous occasion in celebration of excellence across British and international TV production and broadcasting.

The biggest stars of the small screen will be descending on London for the 69th annual TV awards, each in the hope of bagging an award for their work from the past 12 months. The full list of nominations was announced on Wednesday, with BBC medical comedy-drama This is Going to Hurt and police drama The Responder leading the pack with six nominations each.

Other nominees include Netflix’s The Crown and Apple TV’s Slow Horses. A total of 128 programmes received nominations from a record-breaking number of entries, while a host of acting greats have earned their first-ever BAFTA TV nods.

When are the BAFTA TV Awards 2023 and how to watch

The BAFTA TV Awards 2023 will be held on May 14. It will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer from 7pm.

The red carpet show will be shown exclusively on BAFTA’s Facebook page, while red carpet and ceremony clips and exclusive backstage interviews can be seen across social media networks including Instagram and YouTube.

Who is hosting the BAFTA TV Awards 2023?

Comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan will be taking on host duties for this year’s BAFTA TV Awards. The comedy duo known for Sky’s Rob and Romesh Vs will be taking the helm for the first time, following Richard Ayoade who has hosted the past two ceremonies.
