Emma Obank, former executive at U.K. agency Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, has been appointed to the newly created role of creative and commercial affairs executive.
In her new position, Obank will be working closely with Bad Wolf CEO Jane Tranter and director of content Dan McCulloch. Her primary responsibilities will include nurturing new writers and directors, with a focus on developing original series that can have multiple seasons. She will also play a key role in expanding Bad Wolf's lineup of projects, taking them from the development stage to being greenlighted for production.
To accomplish these goals, Obank will collaborate with Bad Wolf's teams in Wales, London, and Los Angeles. Additionally, she will support Screen Alliance Wales's new voices schemes, which aim to provide opportunities for underrepresented individuals in the industry.
At Casarotto Ramsay, Obank was known for representing some of the U.K.'s most promising emerging talents and launching programs to help underrepresented writers and directors connect with agents and industry professionals. She has also been a beneficiary of mentorship through Women in Film & TV's mentorship scheme and has shared her experiences and insights at various industry events and organizations such as BAFTA, the BFI, and Directors U.K.
