Calvin Harris' fiancée Vick Hope shared snippets of the DJ performing in Australia as she watched on from backstage. Vick, who got engaged to the We Found Love chart-topper earlier this year, posted a video as fans were going wild in the crowd.
Calvin, 38, could be seen hyping up the audience in Sydney as his track Sweet Nothing reached a crescendo. The DJ stood with his arms held out as the buzzing fans chanted back at him.
The Dumfries-born artist also shared a clip from the gig, with the crowd singing the lyrics to hit track Blame back to the DJ. Calvin captioned it: "Blame sounding epic @johnnewmanmusic"
John Newman responded: "Buff tings," as fans went wild in the comments. One wrote: "This is MY SONG!! That energy must’ve been amazing!!!" Another agreed: "The power of music. Legend," while a third penned: "what a life experience !! You are incredible"
Calvin popped the question to Radio 1 broadcaster Vick after a five-month whirlwind romance on his farm in Ibiza, where the couple spend a lot of time together. The two were spotted walking hand in hand through the crowd at the Somerset festival before Calvin's set at the Arcadia venue.
DJ Calvin is believed to have popped the question at a special spot at his Ibiza farm in an early May proposal. "Calvin proposed to Vick under his favourite tree on his farm Terra Masia in Ibiza," an insider has told The Sun. "Vick said yes immediately, she is madly in love with Calvin and could not be any happier. She has been wearing her ring for weeks now but no one really noticed.
"Of course her Radio 1 colleagues spotted it immediately and it's been an open secret there. Everyone is so happy for her. Vick has been telling people they are going to be getting married in Ibiza. It's a really special place for them both now and where they want to spend their lives together.
"Vick's mum is helping her to plan the wedding and they're already putting together mood boards and plans. It was a shock for some people because it happened so quickly but it is obvious how happy they make each other."
A second source said: "Calvin was flying Vick out to Ibiza on his private jet. It was all very romantic and he really laid out the red carpet. Calvin has found the one in Vick."
This comes as the One Kiss hitmaker reportedly bought a house for himself and Vick in London, in a neighbourhood close to some of his famous exes. Harris is believed to be behind the purchase of a £7.5million house in Primrose Hill — an area understood to be home to Rita Ora and Taylor Swift.
Neighbours have seen builders working on the five-bedroom property, which last sold almost a decade ago. The Evening Standard said Harris is thought to be the buyer of the home.
A previous listing shows a basement gym, an office and bathroom spanning the ground floor, as well as a sprawling open-plan kitchen-dining-sitting room with a balcony on the first floor. There are bedrooms on the floor above and a semi-open-plan bedroom suite covering the entirety of the third floor with a den and roof terrace at the top of the house.
