Back to School East Kilbride charity receives welcome boost from housebuilder

While the school summer holidays are only a few weeks in, for some returning to school is already on their mind.

As part of its ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has donated £250 to Back to School East Kilbride to help boost its efforts to provide new school uniforms for children returning to schools across East Kilbride after the summer break.

Back to School East Kilbride aims to ensure that every child in need in their local area has access to new school uniform, and it accepts donations of everything a child needs for school including pencil cases, gym kit, coats, scarves and hats, as well as typical school uniform items.

Commenting on the support it has received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Kathleen Crymble, project manager for Back to School East Kilbride said: “Each year we distribute new school uniform and school items to help families across East Kilbride each year.

“The need for our services is growing fast and this donation from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland provides us with a welcome boost.”

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: “We have been part of various local communities across East Kilbride for many years now, and we welcome this opportunity to involved in such an important local charity.

“Being able to work with local charities and organisations where we build new homes means a great deal to us, and it’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our local communities.”
