Back Jack Grealish to shine for England in UEFA Nations League clash with Germany

Jack Grealish looks value to strike for England in Tuesday's crucial Nations League clash against Germany in the Allianz Arena.

The Manchester City star is expected to return to Gareth Southgate's starting eleven as the Three Lions boss shuffles his pack after the weekend defeat in Hungary.

Grealish is expected to join fellow City star Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane in formidable front-three that Southgate is hoping can kickstart the side's Nations League campaign.

Dominik Szoboszlai's 66th minute penalty in Budapest ended England's 22-match unbeaten run and it consigned the Three Lions to their first defeat at the hands of the Hungarians in 60 years.

Grealish, who came on as substitute in Budapest, is expected to replace Mason Mount on the left flank of England's attack and the former Villa man looks great value to make a meaningful contribution.

KEY STAT: Germany have won just two of their 11 Nations League matches.

The 26-year-old scored six times for City in his first Premier League-winning season despite spending much of the campaign on the bench, and he highlighted once again just how big a goal threat he can be by instigating City's comeback in the 2-2 draw at West Ham in the penultimate game of the season.

Grealish, who got on the scoresheet in England's 5-0 success in Andora in October, is 7/2 with Betfred to strike any time against Germany and 10/1 to open the scoring.

Hansi Flick’s side could only manage to draw against Italy in the opening match, with Joshua Kimmich’s equaliser earning them a point. Germany were the better team on the night but Lorenzo Pellegrini struck against the run of play. However, just three minutes later Joshua Kimmich equalised to keep Germany's unbeaten run since Euro 2020 going.

They have though, only kept one clean sheet in their last four matches, with even Armenia finding the net in their World Cup qualifier in November. Expect England to create chances against a far from sturdy German defence, and Grealish might just be able to take one.
