Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna can't see Liverpool's rivals catching them in the race for the Premier League title race next season.
The Reds and Man City have opened up a gap between them and the rest of the league, City won the league in 2022 by one point but Jurgen Klopp's side were 18 points clear of Chelsea in third place and 21 clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.
City have strengthened with the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund but are set to lose Nathan Ake and Raheem Sterling to Chelsea. While Spurs have been active in the summer transfer window as Antonio Conte looks retain the team's place in the UEFA Champions League.

Fifth-placed Arsenal have also signed City striker Gabriel Jesus, while Manchester United are currently locked in negotiations for a number of players. But despite all this, Liverpool themselves have once again improved with the additions of Fabio Carvalho, Calvin Ramsey and broke their transfer record with the acquisition of Darwin Nunez from Benfica to replace Sadio Mane.
Factor in Mohamed Salah signing a contract extension and ex-Gunner Sagna struggles to see how the aforementioned chasing pack can lay a hand on City and Liverpool who have set the standards in the league over the past few years - between them they have won the last five titles.
“I believe it’s going to be difficult for Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal to compete with Man City and Liverpool for the title”, Sagna told Lord Ping.
“These two clubs have been running the show for many years and both of them continue to add world-class players to their squads.
“Teams like Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are in the process of rebuilding, which takes time.
“They will get better but I don’t think that any of them are ready to compete with Manchester City or Liverpool this season.”
