Bacary Sagna disagrees with Gary Neville's Arsenal and Man Utd Premier League title prediction

Nearly half of the Premier League season has been played and Arsenal sit comfortably at the top of the table. Mikel Arteta's side have been very impressive this campaign and currently lead second-placed Manchester City by eight points.

One point behind Pep Guardiola's team is Manchester United, who under Erik ten Hag have emerged as title challengers themselves. Arsenal are due to play the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in what is sure to be a fascinating contest.

Despite how impressive the Gunners have been this season, former Man United defender Gary Neville still has his doubts. When asked if Arteta and Co will win the title, Neville said on his podcast: "No. But I said Leicester wouldn't win the league. They won't win the league. Manchester City will win the league, and I think Man Utd will finish second, and I know that will annoy Arsenal fans."

He added: "The reality of it is, I think at some point Man City will hit a run. Once they do, they've got to play Arsenal twice. With City, is Erling Haaland not getting the service, or does he need to do more? I'll ask that question. Does he need to do more, or does he need to be patient?

"If Erling Haaland starts to kick on, if City start to purr, if the defence starts to shore up a bit more than it has done, and they need Ruben Dias back if they can, I think City will win it.

"At some point, there will be a very difficult period for Arsenal this season. Is it conceivable that Arsenal are going to continue as they are? I don't think it is."

Former Arsenal star Bacary Sagna has since insisted he disagrees with Neville, instead predicting that the Gunners will lift the Premier League trophy in May. Speaking to Findmycasino.com, Sagna was asked about Neville saying both Manchester clubs will finish above Arsenal. "That’s his opinion," the former defender said.

"He has his own point of view but there is a difference between his point of view and what I believe will become reality. This season Arsenal have been the best and most consistent team.

"Manchester United and Manchester City have two important games coming up. I don’t see United finishing in front of Arsenal. They have improved but Arsenal are better and have been the best team all season - Pep will agree with that! He’s been saying they are difficult to catch and they will be.

"This weekend Arsenal have an important game and again they will have to show that they're strong but I’m not worried about that."
