Baby Rave most popular event in Dun Laoghaire this summer

A Baby Rave is set to be the most popular event in Dun Laoghaire this summer .

The event is specially curated by resident DJ, Kwame Daniels and encourages parents and babies to dance together and explore rhythm and music.

This means a group of babies and toddlers will be decked out in glow sticks, sunglasses and instruments on Saturday, 25 June at 10.30am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

The events include a whole day of live concerts and a recording of RTÉ’s Sunday Miscellany.

Cllr. Lettie McCarthy said: “We are proud to be able to support artists in the area to create art and share it with the local community.

“It’s exciting to see such a variety of events including the very popular Baby Rave at dlr LexIcon on Saturday 25 June and seven free concerts for May Music Day on Saturday May 21st.

“The arts have had a very difficult two years and they have been sorely missed in the community.

“We’ve come to realise the invaluable outlet that music, drama and art provides and it’s important that the Council can continue to support the arts industry to begin to thrive again.

“The programme of events has something for everyone of all ages to enjoy and I look forward to attending lots of them myself!”
