Police investigating after a baby was found dead in north London have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
The Met responded to a “concern for welfare report” and were scrambled to Taviton street, Camden, at around 2pm on Monday.
A police cordon was set up around the scene as an investigation was launched.
A Met Police spokesman said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.”
A statement added: "Police were called to Taviton Street, WC1, to reports of a concern for welfare.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A baby was sadly found dead.
"Enquiries continue into the circumstances."
The spokesman added that the alarm was raised at 2pm.
