Baby born with so much hair people think it's a WIG and say he could be in the Beatles

A mum whose son was born with a full head of hair claims that stunned passersby mistake his locks for a wig and remark that he could be "one of the Beatles ".

Rachel Sivils, 31, had quite the surprise when her son Adam Sivils was born with a full head of hair. By the time he was three months old, it had became so long she could put it up in ponytails.

Rachel said that each time she takes her 11-month-old son out in public, they're met with admirers who quiz her on what vitamins she took while pregnant and even ask if Adam's hair is real.

The pharmacist claims that her son's impressive locks also prompts passersby to remark that he could be a Beatles band member - given it's reminiscent of their infamous mop tops.

The mum-of-three described little Adam's mane as 'out of control' as he wakes up with a 'bad case of bed hair' daily, so she'll spray it with water and brush it down to try and tame it.

Rachel said she'll keep Adam's hair long when she has his first haircut after turning one this month, as it's his signature look.

Rachel, of Temecula, California, US, said: "We're stopped in the street by people admiring his hair. Usually I get people saying 'the Beatles hair' or 'oh, he could be one of the Beatles'.

"I'm sure his hair could make a lot of bald middle-aged men quite jealous. Not even just the bald middle-aged men but the girls, the moms - me included.

"People do ask if it's a wig and I'm like 'yes, I put a wig on my baby' but I'm just being sarcastic, of course not."

The 31-year-old said that none of her other children were born with a full head of hair.

Her two-year-old daughter Kathryn Sivils was born completely bald and didn't have much hair until she was around a year old.

Rachel said: "When he was born he came out with a full head of hair and everybody was like 'oh my gosh, I've never seen a baby with so much hair'.

"Everyone was really surprised but all my friends and family were like 'it's beautiful but he'll lose it and then it will come back differently'.

"But it kept growing and getting longer and longer and by the time he was three months old we were able to do ponytails in it.

"We do a man bun every day just to keep it out of his face and eyes. Now, I've had to trim his bangs and around his face a few times because he can't see as it covers his face.

"Any time I post anything people are like 'how is his hair even crazier than before?'"

Adam's hair is thin and fine, with a slight curl at the bottom. Each time Rachel washes it she'll use shampoo, conditioner and then brush it out and when it's wet, it reaches all the way down his back.

Given he wakes up with a 'crazy' do, she'll use a spray bottle to dampen it down before combing it and styling it in a way that tries to keep it out of his face.

Rachel said: "Everywhere we go people are just like 'she's got such beautiful long hair, don't ever cut it. Let it grow out'.

"And I'm like 'it's a boy'. Everyone thinks that because of his hair he's a girl.

"Then I get questions like 'was he born with that much hair? What did you do when you were pregnant with him? Did you take any vitamins?'"

The mum said that the family adores Adam's locks and that she'll keep them long.

Rachel said: "We all love and embrace his hair. Usually with my older son, I cut it. His dad is in the military so it always has to be super short and cut and with my older son we've cut his hair too. But with him I think it's his look.

"I think we're going to trim it up and keep it a little bit nicer looking when he turns one. But we're going to keep the long hair look, I think it suits him.

"It makes him unique, it's his thing."
