Ukraine families have been desperately sheltering from shelling and in the midst of the bombs and destruction in Kyiv a new born girl has been pictured.
Since Vladimir Putin ordered Russia ’s invasion of Ukraine, cities around the country have been besieged by explosions with people hiding in underground metro systems or other shelters.
Images have shown the destruction caused by two-days of attacks with buildings blown up and the number of casualties continues to rise.
The spirit of the Ukrainian people has shone through with their determination to fight on against their more powerful neighbour with the government even telling residents of Kyiv to arm themselves with Molotov cocktails.
And yet in the midst of the horrors a mum is reportedly “happy” after the birth of a baby girl in a shelter in Kyiv.

“When Putin kills Ukrainians we call mothers of Russia and Belarus to protest against Russia war in Ukraine . We defend lives and humanity!”
There have been other reports of children being born in a neonatal unit and then rushed to a makeshift shelter.
Inside, they were carefully cradled by staff from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Children’s Hospital who feared for the lives of their young charges, The Sun reports.
Dr Denis Surkov, 51, chief of the neonatal unit at Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Children’s Hospital said of the bunker: “This is the neonatal intensive care unit. In a bomb shelter.
“Can you imagine? This is our reality.”
Earlier it was reported that the oncology centre of another hospital was left in flames after Russian forces opened fire on the building.
Shocking footage shot in Melitopol, in the south east of the war-torn nation, showed heavy fire close to the hospital before explosions in the building.
Putin also stands accused of bombing a nursery as more heartbreaking footage emerged tonight.
A horrifying clip appeared to show a kindergarten, named the Sunshine nursery, surrounded by bodies in the eastern Ukrainian city of Okhtyrka.
Drone cameras show the scene with the slides and sandbox visible in the play area outside as missiles continue to fly.
Bodies of two adults appear to be lying in pools of blood, with other people crouched alongside them.
US officials believe Russia's initial aim is to "decapitate" Zelenskiy's government.
Putin says Ukraine, a democratic nation of 44 million people, is an illegitimate state carved out of Russia, a view Ukrainians see as aimed at erasing their more than thousand-year history.
He says he does not plan a military occupation, only to disarm Ukraine and remove its leaders, but it is not clear how a pro-Russian leader could be installed unless Russian troops control much of the country.
Ukrainians voted overwhelmingly for independence at the fall of the Soviet Union and Kyiv hopes to join NATO and the EU - aspirations that infuriate Moscow.
