Babestation model calls Greenock man who wants to leave her £20k in his will and 'agrees to take cash'

A disabled Scots sex line fan who wants to leave £20,000 to an ex-Babestation model in his will says she finally made contact with him.

Thomas Weir, 50, has been desperate to hear from Laura Jones, 33, since he first clocked eyes on her 18 years ago.

The former warehouse worker says he couldn't believe it when he received a call from the model on Wednesday night.

And it now looks like she will accept some of his money to spend it on her young children and lingerie for her modelling career.

Thomas, from Greenock, Inverclyde, is adamant all of the cash is going to Laura as she's "the most beautiful person inside and out".

He exclusively told the Record: "When Laura said 'hello' down the phone I was shellshocked.

"We had the most amazing conversation that lasted over two and half hours.

"She's just so lovely."

Thomas, who lives in Milton Keynes, fears he might not have long left as he battles debilitating diabetes and an MRSA infection.

He had his leg amputated last year as a result of his illness and it wheelchair bound.

With estranged family members, and around £20,000 in the bank, Thomas said he wanted to give the lump sum to someone who deserved it.

Keen to give the cash to Laura, he made a public appeal to track her down on Monday.

The next day, Laura broke her silence, claiming she "didn't want to take" the money in Thomas' will.

Laura's late night phone call on Wednesday then came as a surprise to the Scot.

Thomas added: "Laura explained that she wasn't comfortable with having the money.

"She suggested I use it for a bucket list, but you can hardly do things like jump out of a plane with one leg.

"She then came up with the idea of drum lessons as she knew I used to play, but I've had lessons before.

"If she took the money in the end she asked if it would be okay for it to go towards her young children as well as clothes and lingerie for her modelling career.

"Nothing is set in stone but she is the most beautiful person and I want her to have it."

Thomas first spotted Laura on adult TV channels in 2001, while he was living in Knightswood, Glasgow.

"A friend told me about Laura and I found her one night on SXTV Live at around midnight.

"The show was called Laura Dares.

"From that moment I became a fan."

For the next couple of years Thomas regularly watched shows that starred beauty Laura.

Between 2003 and 2010, Laura disappeared from the adult channels, with heartbroken Thomas thinking he'd never see her again.

She came back into his life one night in January 2011.

"I was on an adult channel and saw a live chat line segment called 'Laura Live' and it was her," Thomas added.

"I was astounded, my heart was thumping faster than it had ever done before.

"I could feel blood pumping right through my veins and thought I was going to have a heart attack."

It took until March that year for Thomas to pluck up the courage to call into Laura Live.

"We really connected," Thomas said.

"The chat was not about sex or relationships in any way.

"We spoke about our own lives, the news and sport teams as I'm a lifelong Greenock Morton fan.

"She told me about her passion for orange chocolate and we spoke about the band, Simple Minds."

Euphoric from finally chatting to the model, Thomas waited another month before calling in again.

"In April 2011 we had a brief conversation just to catch up, again nothing sexual.

"Our third conversation was last night."

Eight years on, Thomas dismisses jibes from those who knew about his feelings towards Laura and members of the public in the wake of his search for her.

"I've been called a sleazebag, a fifty-year-old virgin and a stalker but I don't care.

"Laura is funny, witty and down to earth.

"She's the most beautiful person inside and out.

"I would never judge her for her career."

Thomas said the Runrig hit, Somewhere brings him to tears as it reminds him of his relationship with Laura and the impact she's had on his life.
