Babatunde Aléshé says Matt Hancock isn't active in the I’m a Celeb group chat

Babatunde Aléshé revealed disgraced politician Matt Hancock is in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! group chat.

The comedian, who came seventh on the show, said the former Health Secretary isn't active in the WhatsApp group.

The 36-year-old and his wife Leonie Aléshé are hosting Capital XTRA’s Christmas Roast and discussed all things I'm A Celeb.

Speaking about the group chat, he said: "I mean, he [ Matt Hancock ] is not active. Sue is the most active in our team."

He added that he often mutes the chat as he has 'four or five' different groups happening at once.

"So I always mute them for eight hours and then I'll go back and then read everything and then you know, get my little piece," Babatunde added.

"But Matt, he's in there. […] Everyone is in the group chat. When I saw Matt Hancock join I was just like 'swear down'. I tell everybody I really grew to appreciate, like, respect the man. I do, I respect him. […]"

Babatunde then revealed that Jill is the 'funniest' person in the group chat as well as the camp.

"She’s just jokes man, she’s good vibes man, she really is man," he said.

Hancock was initially snubbed from the I'm A Celeb stars' group chat but was later added.

At the time, Scarlette Douglas revealed Mike Tindall was the group admin but decided to not add Mr Hancock into the group as he "might be too busy".

Days later, there was a U-turn and he was added.

Scarlette confirmed the news to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show recently, leaving Lorraine laughing.

Lorraine asked her to clear up the rumours and Scarlette commented that he was in the chat, just days after saying he was not.

Host Lorraine asked: "There was talk as there are with these things... clear it up. He’s in the WhatsApp group?"

Scarlette then confirmed: "He’s now in the WhatsApp group, yes. He was allowed in. He’s in the group, everyone can breathe."
