Budget high street retailer B&M delighted shoppers when they found one of Cadbury's most popular discontinued chocolates from the 90s back on shelves. The Cadbury chocolates were hugely popular in the 1990s, and it was a blow for many when they were discontinued.
Now they're back on shelves. And the best news? They're only £1 each. Cadbury Astros are boxes of biscuit bites coated in Cadbury chocolate.
The popular confectionary brand launched the candy coated chocolate biscuit bites back in 1997, but they were discontinued in the UK sometime after. They were still sold in South Africa.
One shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group to share how they spotted the sweets in their local B&M for just £1, says the Daily Record. The shopper wrote: "Guess what I came across in B&M today, I was like a big kid . Childhood nostalgia. Wrong label on shelf but scanned at £1.00 a box which is 40g. Not sure who remembers these from the 90s."
And it looks like many shoppers remembered the 90s Cadbury's chocolate, with hundreds flocking to the comments to how they "loved" them as children. I loved these as a kid, I remember when they first came out", raved one shopper.
"I used to spend my bus money on these and have to walk home from high school . I loved them so much", commented a third. "No way I literally saying I’ve missed these they were amazing", wrote a fourth. "Wow not seen these for years", replied a fifth.
