B&M shoppers rave over £12 item that can cut heating costs

B&M shoppers are raving about a £12 product that will save them using the heating this winter. As the weather turns chilly and the energy price cap set to increase yet again, many will be worried about how they'll keep warm at home.

A user on Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert's Heat the Human, Not the Home guide previously recommended investing in fleece lined hoodies and blankets to keep you warm without switching on the radiator.

They didn't specify a brand, however, there are plenty available on the market which widely vary in price. The popular Oodie wearable blanket costs up to £60, but one bargain hunter discovered the B&M 'Snuggle Hoodie' as a cheaper alternative. For just £12, she said she couldn't leave it on the B&M shelf, Manchester Evening News reports.

The hoodie is large, fleece-lined and has a big pocket at the front. Essentially it is a blanket with arms. Sharing her find in Extreme Coupons and Bargaining UK, she wrote: "Bought this for Christmas but my daughter spotted them in boot of my car, so my daughter and sons had them early as it's starting to feel chilly at night.

"These have lovely warm sherpa lining to snuggle up in to save having to use our heating oil at the moment until it gets colder. I tried daughters on its age 11-13-years. To give you a size guide, I'm 4ft 10" and it fits me lol they also have unicorn or rainbows design, also available in adults sizes."

Another said: "We had the Primark version last year and lived in them so have invested in the real thing this year since they are doing two-for-one (still £42 each) but think it will be worth it with the fuel crisis and given how much we wore them last year."

A third echoed: "Primark are doing them as well - very warm." Another added: "Both of my children have them. They LOVE them! Definitely recommend."
