With households continuing to feel the crunch of the cost of living crisis, many have been looking for ways to keep their energy costs down - especially in the kitchen.
Soaring costs has led many to look for more energy-efficient methods of cooking their meals without touching the oven, such as using an air fryer.
One appliance that has gained quite a good response from shoppers has been a halogen oven from high-street chain B&M, with some saying it is "better than an air fryer."
One shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook to rave over the retailer's Mo Health Low Fat Health Air Fryer that they say is "great for saving energy."
Currently priced at £39, the energy-efficient kitchen appliance is said to help families cook delicious and healthy meals without racking up their electricity bill.
And while it has been advertised as an air fryer, many shoppers were quick to point out that it was more similar to a halogen oven, which uses radiation instead of convection to heat up.
Despite the difference, it is worth noting that halogen ovens are still around 75% cheaper to run than the standard electric oven, meaning you are still saving some pennies.
Sharing the nifty buy to the money-saving group, the shopper wrote: "Got this £39 air fryer yesterday from B&M, which is selling about for around £100 on Amazon.
I would say this is a halogen oven rather than air fryer, huge enough for a whole chicken, great for saving energy.
Found some negative comments in Amazon, but they don't happen to me. I'm happy with this good price."
The post was then inundated with hundreds of comments from other users who have purchased the kitchen buy which has let them cut back on their oven use.
"Haven't used my oven since I bought this, you can cook basically everything in it, cheap to use and easy to clean, better than a Airfryer!!!", exclaimed one.
"I have this exact same one and I cooked 4 chicken legs and roasted potatoes at the same time and it cost me 47 pence from start to finish", praised a second.
"I've had my halogen oven for nearly 4 years, and can't recommend it enough. From complete roasts - veggies and roast potatoes at the same time - to cheese toasties, grilled fish to baked camembert - brilliant! Even pizza cooks better than a conventional oven", raved a third.
"We bought this as a replacement for our air fryer, needed more cooking space. Use it most days and cook everything in it.", commented a fourth.
B&M's Mo Health Low Fat Air Fryer is currently reduced by 13% and is available to buy for just £39.
