B&M shoppers nostalgic as popular 90s sweet brand appears on shelves

B&M shoppers have been delighted by the appearance of a popular 90s sweet brand on the shelves.

The popular budget-friendly retailer is now selling Wham Space Babies - a re-invention of the classic Wham bar in the form of baby-shaped gummies. Also available in Home Bargains, the soft and sour sweets come in raspberry, banana, strawberry and apple flavours inspired by the original bar.

Barratt Sweets, the brand also behind the likes of Flumps and Dip Dabs, released the sweet earlier this year as part of a new retro-inspired range. Also among the collection are Favourites Jelly Beans and Lollies, with flavours including Wham, Fruit Salad, Dip Dab and Refreshers - and shoppers are loving the trip down memory lane, the Liverpool Echo reports.

NewFoodsUK shared news of the Space Babies' arrival on its Instagram and Facebook pages, where the news was met with a flurry of excitement. "I need to try these," one person insisted.

"Oh my god," someone else reacted in the comments section, as dozens of followers rushed to tag their friends to share the news.

And a shopper who had been lucky enough to try the sweets said: "These taste amazing can't lie - the banana-flavoured ones are actually boss."

It's not the first time B&M has impressed shoppers with its retro-inspired offering - last year, shoppers went wild for a range of Barratt drinks inspired by the brand's classic sweet flavours. Options included Wham bar, Flumps and Fruit Salad beverages for 99p, with customers quickly vowing to snap them up for a nostaglic taste of the 90s.
