B&M shoppers get 'blast from the past' as discontinued 90s chocolate appears on shelves

We all love a blast from the past whether it's a TV show or film we grew up watching as a kid,

But now B&M shoppers have been given a blast from the past thanks to one shopper.

Taking to Facebook's Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to share what they had spotted at their local store, one shopper snapped a photo of the iconic Cadbury's treat.

The Astros, which were launched back in 1997 and discontinued shortly after, are said to be a milk chocolate treat with a crispy biscuit centre and tasty candy coating, described on the box as ‘candy and chocolate coated biscuit bites.’ And shoppers can't get enough of the nostalgia.

Costing just £1, people seem keen to rush to their own store to see if their local B&M are also stocking up on the 90s sweet treat.

Writing the caption, the shopper wrote: "Guess what I came across in B&M today, I was like a big kid. Childhood nostalgia. Wrong label on shelf but scanned at £1.00 a box which is 40g. Not sure who remembers these from the 90s."

B&M is well known among shoppers for stocking a massive variety of sweet treats that you often can't find anywhere else, including banana flavoured Jammy Dodgers and a white chocolate sweet from Lindt.

Although they are still sold in South Africa, it's not widely available in the UK - and shoppers clearly want to take advantage before they disappear again.

Tagging their Facebook friend one commenter said: "Omg you need to get me these. How many times do these come into conversation when we talk about old sweets."

Another added: "I used to spend my bus money on these and have to walk home from high school .I loved them so much."

"I loved these as a kid. I remember when they first came out" wrote a third.
