The image featured hats, gloves and socks - all from the retailer's thermal insulated range. The items were priced at £3 or £4. Sharing the post with its legion of Facebook fans, B&M wrote: "Me: I'm so used to British weather, I won't need to wrap up to much. Also me: [image of basket.]"
The post quickly amassed over 600 likes, with many shoppers taking to the comments section to share their thoughts and excitedly tag their friends. One tagged a friend and said: "we will need these."
Another commenter wrote: "These things will sell like hot cakes this year because people can't afford the heating or gas!!! They'll be layering up!!!" Someone else added: "Can recommend the socks."
One Facebook user called the items a "must have in winter." Another fan said: "I buy those socks every year, had a pair on just the other day." Someone else commented: "Ooh the pink ones on the right I need!!"
