B&M makes major change to website as store finally trials home delivery

B&M has issued a major update to its website as the store finally trials home delivery.

It's the first time in the popular retailer's history that they it has included the delivery service since it openedits first UK store back in 1978.

B&M fans love nothing better than popping into their local store to buy some bargains - and now they can shop to their heart's desire from the comfort of home.

While not all products are currently available for the service just yet, there are still hundreds of items from different departments that can be delivered directly to your door, The Mirror reports.

Items available to be delivered can are marked with an orange van logo and, so far, there are multiple items from the home &furniture, garden, electricals and kids toys are available.

If an item is not yet available for home delivery, then it will have a sign marked next to it that says "in-store only".

The service includes smaller items, such as a £3.50 drinks holder, as well as bulkier items you don't really want to carry home, including a £500 outdoor settee.

Shoppers looking to try out the new service can do so by looking for marked home delivery items and clicking "add to basket" before arranging for them to be delivered.

It is worth noting that, like many other retailer's, B&M does currently charge for the home delivery service and the prices depend on the size of your order.

Regular delivery costs £3.95, medium delivery costs £7.95 and large delivery is £14.95. It takes between three to seven working days for your order to arrive from B&M.

At the moment the deliveries come from five distribution centres B&M already has up and running.

The retailer is only trialling the new format for now, so it doesn't mean delivery is here to stay.

B&M doesn’t delivery in the following places:

  • Isle of Man
  • Isle of Wight
  • BFPO
  • Northern Ireland
  • Channel Islands
  • Scottish Islands
  • Highlands
