B&M, Amazon and eBay products urgently recalled over safety concerns

B&M, Amazon and eBay have all recalled items in recent days due to health and safety concerns. Some of the products have been recalled due to the presence of glass fragments, while others have been found to contain dangerous bacteria, according to Trading Standards.

When a product is recalled for any reason, Trading Standards shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

Liroy B.V. is recalling Sau Tao ST Spinach Noodles because it contains egg, which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

The company has issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Parson's Pickles pickled mussels

Parsons Pickles is recalling Parson's Pickles Pickled Mussels because some jars have been found to contain glass fragments. The affected batch is only sold in B&M stores UK-wide.

If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Baylis and Harding Goodness Kids detangler

The Baylis and Harding Goodness Kids detangler poses a microbacterial risk because when tested a bacterial organism called pluralibacter gergoviea was found to be present. Small children and those with existing health complications, such as weakened immune systems, are more susceptible to infection.

The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013. The product has been recalled from end users.

This product has been recalled as it presents a high risk of injuries as, when tested, the small magnets were found to have a magnetic flux index greater than 50 kG²mm², in most cases over 110 kG²mm² which is over twice the maximum permissible limit. Small, high-powered magnetic products can be easily swallowed and, when ingested, have the potential to cause serious internal injuries within the gastrointestinal tract.

The product, which could be found on Etsy, has been removed from the site.

Greyp Portable battery pack for E-bike model families G6, G5 and T5

A portable li-ion battery pack for Greyp e-bike model families G6, G5 and T5, with a sales period of February 2019 to January 2022, has been recalled. The product has been identified as presenting a risk of fire following a consumer incident, leading to Greyp voluntarily recalling the product from end users.

UBCO 2x2 WRK off-road utility electric motorbike

This product has been recalled as on certain UBCO 2x2 bikes, the annulus gear, a component of the wheel hub, may loosen during operation causing abnormal contact between the gear and hub motor. If this abnormal contact occurs while the bike is in motion, the affected wheel may seize without prior warning, causing a crash.

Baztoy flying ball

The Baztoy remote controlled flying ball has been recalled as it has been identified as presenting a high chemical risk and risk of choking and injuries. The product is powered using button batteries which can be easily accessed and placed in the mouth and swallowed, presenting a choking hazard for young children.

It was sold on Amazon and has been removed, and users are advised to stop using this product immediately.

Five set magnetic clip-on earrings

A set of five magnetic clip-on stud earrings have been recalled as they present a medium risk of being swallowed and causing injury. They were sold on eBay which has removed the listing.

Princess-J Cartoon magnetic fashion stud earrings

A pack of eight assorted pairs of magnetic earrings including bees, flowers, toadstools, stars, hearts and snowflakes has been recalled as they are a choking hazard. The product has been removed by eBay.

QUACOWW Wacky Tracks fidget toy

The product has been identified as presenting a risk of choking due to the small parts and does not have an age label or warning. Users are asked to stop using the product immediately and Amazon has removed the listing.

Captain America Civil War dancing toy robot

This Captain America toy has been recalled as it poses a risk of burns. When tested, the temperature rise of the product exceeded the permissible temperature limits. The product also failed the drop test and the product does not comply fully with the marking requirements of the relevant standard.

Users are asked not to use it and it has been removed from Amazon.

FGWAF children's LED rechargeable music phone

A rechargeable white electronic toy phone similar in appearance to an iPhone has been recalled as it has been identified as presenting a medium risk of burns. The construction of the product is insufficient meaning if it is dropped it is at risk of short circuiting and reaching 54.9 degrees Celsius, posing a risk to children.

It has been removed from Amazon.

Libra Frog Intelligent game

The Libra Frog Intelligent game has been recalled as it has been identified as presenting a serious risk of choking as the product contains small parts which can be swallowed by a young child. The product also presents a risk of asphyxiation from the flexible plastic bags in which the toy's accessories are supplied.

Additionally, the product does not comply fully with the marking requirements of the relevant standard. The product was sold on Amazon, which has removed listings of the product.

Scratch Meals chicken and veggie tikka masala with spiced brown rice

Use by: March 27, March 28, March 30, March 31, April 1 and April 2

Scratch Meals Ltd is recalling its chicken and veggie tikka masala with spiced brown rice because it contains a vitamin and mineral ingredient - niacin and zinc - not listed on the label, which may cause consumers to have an adverse reaction. Symptoms caused by niacin and zinc usually include hot flushes, tingly feelings, sickness and diarrhoea.

Customers are advised not to eat the product and instead return it to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.
