B&M £1 hay fever product called 'brilliant' by shoppers with allergies

B&M shoppers have praised a hay fever product being sold by the budget retailer, stating that the "brilliant" item "works well".

With pollen levels in Edinburgh currently at a yellow "moderate" level according to the Met Office, many people who suffer from allergies will be looking to alleviate symptoms such as itchy eyes, sneezing, and congestion.

According to some shoppers, the Nuage Pollen Barrier Balm does just that.

The balm claims to work by creating a "physical barrier reducing pollen, allergens and dust entering the nose", and is applied around the rim of each nostril using a finger or a cotton bud.

The product description on B&M's website reads: "Don't let pollen and allergies ruin your day! Whether it's work or play, stay on track with Nuage Pollen Barrier Balm.

"Suitable for daily use, and for children. An allergen barrier with aloe vera."

One happy customer was quick to inform other hay fever sufferers of the product, writing on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook UK: "Found in B&M for £1! For all you guys with hay fever, pet allergies and dust allergies! They have face wipes as well for the same purpose!"

Since being shared, the post has being liked and commented on by dozens of Facebook users.

One said: "Works well for me I have guinea pigs and have very bad allergies to hay and after I handle or clean them out I always wipe myself down with the wipes and shower that evening."

A second revealed: "Thanks for posting, I bought some of the Kleenex allergy wipes as I make my eyes sore rubbing and they seem to be doing the trick as they are decent and cooling without irritation.

"I’ve tried normal water wipes and they still seem to irritate compared to these allergy ones. Not keen on the price though so I need to take a trip for these to try."

"We use this it's brilliant," shared a third.

A fourth meanwhile wrote: "Oooo amazing thanks".

Other members of the group suggested alternatives for those suffering from bad hay fever, with one commenting: "Vaseline also does the same job as well".

A second stated: "The wipes home bargains sell are really good. Might be the same brand I can't remember."
