New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital in the national capital due to a heart related ailment, sources said.
The Samajwadi Party leader was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening at the hospital's coronary ICU unit.
Sources in the hospital said an angioplasty was done to remove blockages and stents were implanted.

They said he had suffered a heart attack after which he was brought to the hospital. Khan continues to be under observation in the ICU.
Khan has been suffering due to poor health for some time. The SP leader was arrested in February 2020 in connection with several cases, including that of land grabbing, and was in Sitapur jail till May 2022 when he got bail. (UNI)
