Ayrshire firm strengthens its backing for cancer charity

A Kilmarnock business has reaffirmed its backing for Ayrshire Cancer Support — by extending its corporate partnership with the charity and becoming a founder of its new cancer centre.

During 2020 and 2021, TCS Construction Consultants, who have a base in Portland Road, raised an astonishing £21,563 for the charity.

And they have now committed to a further two-year corporate charity partnership.

Martin Muir, Senior Partner of TCS Construction Consultants said: “TCS Construction Consultants are committed to giving back to the communities in which we work and the funds raised during the last two years are a testament to the amazing effort of our staff, clients and colleagues.

“TCS Construction Consultants celebrates its 120th anniversary during 2022 and we can think of no better way to mark this occasion than to extend our corporate partnership with Ayrshire Cancer Support for a further two years.

“As part of this commitment to this renewed partnership, we have now pledged to fund three accessible car parking spaces at ACS’ proposed new cancer support centre in Ayr.”

Nicola George, of Ayrshire Cancer Support, said: “Huge congratulations to all at TCS Construction Consultants who raised an impressive £21,563 from our corporate partnership in 2020/21 and we are delighted to announce they are extending this corporate charity partnership by a further two years!

“What a wonderful way for TCS Construction Consultants to mark their 120th year in business by pledging to become Founders of our new cancer support centre.

“This is a wonderful way for local businesses and individuals to lend their support to children, young people and adults whose lives are heavily impacted when they receive a cancer diagnosis.

“Our new centre will support tens of thousands of Ayrshire people in the future and with one in two people expected to get cancer at some point in their life, it has never been more needed.

“Founders’ names will be engraved on the Founders Plaque which will be housed within the centre for ever and a day – leaving a lasting reminder for all to see.”
