Ayrshire elf on the shelf prank victim speaks out after room all wrapped up by mum

The victim of an elaborate Elf on the Shelf prank by her mum reckons it could take till Christmas to unwrap her room.

Tailor Mohan, 21, was left speechless when funny mum Mariea, 38, covered her entire room in wrapping paper.

The Prestwick gym owner wrapped every inch of her daughter’s room including essential items like face wipes and make up.

Tailor, who works in Costa in Troon, was left stunned when she returned home from work on Sunday night to find her whole room resembling a huge Christmas present.

And she had to rip paper off her mattress, duvet and pillows just to get into bed.

Now she admits it could take until Christmas to unwrap everything with 60m of paper to get through.

Tailor told Ayrshire Live: “I’ll probably need to unwrap one thing a day, and by the time I’m done it will be Christmas.

“There’s never a dull moment in this house, whether it is Christmas or not I always come home to something.

"On Sunday (when it happened) I literally had to sleep on a half wrapped bed.

“It’s wrapped really well it’s properly taped down – I think my mum has had plenty of practice.”

Tailor, who is training to be a primary school teacher, was left with a Rudolph red nose after the whole ordeal was filmed on Facebook Live.

The video went viral racking up an incredible 2,500 views in a matter of hours.

Tailor now hopes to get her own back - but is worried what might come next if she does.

We told earlier this week how Mariea is planning a fourth Elf on the Shelf prank, with the last stunt seeing Tailor's house keys frozen in a water bottle.

But Tailor has revealed that her attempt to have revenge backfired after she locked her mum out of the house.

She added: “When my mum froze my water bottle I responded by locking her out the house. W’ve got a thing in our house where you can’t leave the key in the door because the other person can’t get in.

“I left an Elf note to say it was going to be -4 tonight so I hope you’ve got a blanket in your car.

“My mum is away on holiday to Australia over Christmas, when she comes back it will be pay back - we’ll just need to wait and see.”
