Ayr United's new away kit is set to be a winner for all of the community, reckon Somerset chiefs.
A striking new pink and black number has been unveiled today - with a nod to the town's rugby club reinforcing growing links between both sporting institutions.
United bosses hope the new look will prove a winner with fans across the town as Ayr make a return to the pink change colours last worn in season 2018/19. It is the second new kit produced for the club this summer by Irish sportswear firm O'Neills.
Managing director Graeme Mathie told the Ayrshire Post: "The response from supporters to our new partnership with O'Neills has been fantastic so far and we're delighted to get this second replica kit on sale in time for the holiday season.
"People will notice the nod to the colours of the rugby club, and we feel it's a nice tie in with both the north and south side of the town. We've obviously worn pink colours in the recent past and we're very hopeful this kit will prove a real winner with the fanbase.
"It is a striking design and one we're really happy with. Further away leisurewear items will also be available in our retail store, meaning great choice for the supporters ahead of the new season."
The new away kit will go on sale in the club shop this weekend to coincide with the Open Day, held this Saturday between 11am-3pm.
