Lee Bullen wants Ayr fans to put the intimidation factor back into Somerset Park.
United face a huge home double header as the race for the play-offs reaches its climax.
Tomorrow night’s visit of Queen’s Park is another critical clash – with Bullen adamant the home support can now play a vital part.
He told the Ayrshire Post: “I want to see the place bouncing like it did on the final day of last season against Partick – or when we beat Dundee earlier this season.
“You remember those games because the atmosphere inside Somerset can be so special. We need to do everything we can to make it that way again in these last two home league games.”
The Spiders sit just one point off the top and head to Somerset as unlikely title challengers.
Ayr are just as desperate for the three points as they now sit outside the play-offs following a late comeback win for Inverness at Hamilton on Tuesday night.
Bullen added: “There’s a lot riding on the game, as is the case with every fixture at this stage.
“We just need to make sure we get over the line and include ourselves in the play-off picture.”
Bullen will have a full squad to choose from with only Josh Mullin set to miss out. But the winger is now back in training after receiving the all clear at an x-ray on his fractured metatarsal.
•United’s new home kit will go on sale this coming Monday. Fans can also get their hands on the merchandise at a special pop-up shop next week at Ayr Central – open 11am-4pm between Monday and Friday.
