Ayling's ballboy grab, Bamford's classy gesture, Roca's unlikely role in Leeds United moments missed

The Leeds United supporters know all too well about the local rivalries they are fighting with each away ground they visit. Of course, the City Ground was absolutely the right place to sing about the club’s greatest manager, Don Revie, as early as the seventh minute.

Roca tries to step up

Once Leeds had gathered themselves after Brennan Johnson’s opener, they stood waiting for the restart and it was Marc Roca who took it upon himself to get everyone going again. While everyone else stood with hands on hips, the Spaniard was the one trying to rally the troops.

Bamford’s classy touch

Eleven years and one day after the death of former Nottingham Forest chairman Nigel Doughty, Patrick Bamford came out onto the field with a bouquet of flowers at the City Ground. Doughty was Bamford's godfather and the former Forest trainee and supporter remains a close friend and business partner of Doughty’s son, Michael.

Ayling loses patience with a ballboy

In the 82nd minute, as the match began to get away from the Whites, frustration boiled over in one moment. A Forest ballboy was stood shielding a ball from Luke Ayling while he waited for another to be returned by the crowd.

The Leeds right-back saw no sense in waiting for the other ball to be returned while the ballboy had one right in front of him. Ayling reached around and pulled the ball from the youngster’s arms.
