Viewers were left heartbroken after tuning into the new series of Teen First Dates on Wednesday evening.
The popular reality show brought back the teenage version of the programme for a second season and it did not disappoint.
As well as some perfect match-making and hilarious conversations, there was also plenty of awkward moments and one particularly sad situation involving 18-year-old student Ilyas.
Ilyas was paired with 18-year-old Georgia, and wasted no time in speaking French to her and also spoke about his pet tarantulas.
As they tucked into dinner, Georgia excused herself and went to the toilet to FaceTime her friend.
"Why are you calling me when you're on a date?" he pal asked, as she replied: "Because it's not great. He's nice but there's no attraction."
As the two friends giggled and Georgia continued talking about Ilyas, he suddenly walked in to the unisex loos - leaving Georgia mortified.
However, Ilyas definitely got the wrong end of the stick as he was heard telling someone on the phone: "She was giggling so it's a good sign."
Unfortunately for him, Georgia wasn't keen on organising a second date and told him: "It was the aspect of creepy crawlies that I'm not into..."
Viewers tuning in at home were left feeling heartbroken for Ilyas and took to Twitter to comment.
"Aww no gutted for him .. she got wind of his tarantula and ran a mile .. lol #TeenFirstDates #FirstDates," one person posted.
A second tweeted: "Keep your chin up, Ilyas. You deserve the best. #TeenFirstDates."
A third person posted: "Ilyas must be protected at all costs #TeenFirstDates," while a fourth added: "OMG HIS FACE when she said no #TeenFirstDates."
Someone else commented: "Those rejections are horrible to watch when they’re all so young #TeenFirstDates."
