MP Awadhesh Prasad breaks into tears during press conference

Ayodhya: Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad on Sunday broke down while addressing a press conference after the naked body of a 22-year-old Dalit woman was found in Ayodhya.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the Dalit woman had gone missing on Thursday night and her disrobed body with limbs fractured and eyes gouged was recovered from a dry drain outside Sahnawa village on Friday evening.  

While addressing the press conference, Samajwadi Party MP started weeping crying while talking about the brutal rape and murder of the Dalit woman. 

He said that the people of Ayodhya had sent him to the Lok Sabha entrusting him with the responsibility of security, but he failed to fulfill it.

'Will take up the matter with PM'
"I will go Delhi. I will take up the matter with PM Modi and if we don't get justice, then I will resign as MP," Awadhesh Prasad said.

 

SP Leaders console him
Former UP minister Pawan Pandey and Party district president Parasnath Yadav, who were present during the conference, consoled him and said that there is no need to resign, the party would fight to get justice for the daughter.
The MP said that the case is a shameful act of brutality which is many more gruesome than the Nirbhaya case.

Hands-Legs tied
The family said that her legs hands and legs were tied with ropes and her body had several deep cuts. 

The MP also accused the administration of not allowing the deceased family to cremate her as per Hindu rituals. She was buried by digging a pit through a JCB, he added.
