The recording featured Keith Davidson discussing how former attorney Michael Avenatti had driven a 'serious wedge' between the two women.
In 2022, Michael Avenatti was sentenced to 14 years in prison and was also ordered to pay nearly $11 million in restitution. This sentencing came as a result of Avenatti embezzling millions of dollars from four of his clients and engaging in obstruction of justice.
Earlier in the same year, Avenatti pleaded guilty to four counts of wire fraud, one for each client he had stolen from, and one count of endeavoring to obstruct the administration of the Internal Revenue Code.
