In celebration of Pride Month 2023, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel is displaying diverse art creations by Thai LGBTI artists in the hotel's public and surrounding areas throughout June.
Curated by renowned artist and writer Oat Montien, the "Blossom Buddies" exhibition features pieces by 12 artists in diverse mediums, including mixed media, fine art, installation, photography, fashion and textile.
Dominating the hotel's foyer, Ready To Love by 24-year-old Phawit Prawat, aka SM Veed, challenges traditional notions of marriage and norms through a hand-painted bridal gown. Love Blossom by photographer and fashion editor Surachai Saengsuwan is a portrait series that blends nude human forms and flowers, showcasing humanity's diversity and connection to nature to discover the beauty of individuality and love's blossoming.
Through photographs and personal narratives, Our Trans Life Journey in the hotel's panoramic lobby offers glimpses into the lives of individuals on the transgender spectrum and provides a space to share their stories and embrace their authentic selves.

Celebrate Global Wellness Day with Chiva-Som
Chiva-Som celebrates Global Wellness Day (GWD) 2023 through the medium of dance. Now in its 12th year, GWD encourages people to focus on their health, prioritising their well-being and self-care. On Saturday, Chiva-Som Hua Hin and Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som in Qatar will share the joy of dance with guests, in celebration of the annual event. To demonstrate the positive effects of dancing, both wellness resorts have announced a dance programme to embrace the official #DanceMagenta theme.
Chiva-Som Hua Hin will present a Zumba dance class for resort guests. This fun, full-body boogie session promotes benefits such as weight loss, muscle toning and as importantly the social aspect of group exercise. Qatar Airways adds another Bangkok flight
Qatar Airways is adding a fifth daily flight to Bangkok to support travel to and from Thailand, from June 22 to Oct 28. The additional flight brings the number from Thailand up to eight per day, joining four existing daily flights from Bangkok and three daily flights from the holiday island of Phuket.
The further expansion of flights will offer even more convenience and flexibility for travellers to connect to over 160 destinations in Qatar Airways' global network, including popular destinations such as London, Manchester, Paris, New York, Frankfurt and Zurich.
