Autopsy suggests baby death is not suspicious

Police have ruled out foul play over the death of a two-month-old boy. 

Emergency services responded to reports of an unresponsive baby at a property at Alfredton in suburban Ballarat about 9pm on Saturday.

Paramedics performed performed CPR on the baby, who died at the scene.

Police on Monday received the results of a post mortem examination.

"The matter is not being treated as suspicious and local police will prepare a report for the coroner," the force said in a statement.
