With auto prices at all-time highs, consumers have to think long and hard about transportation compared to wants and needs.
In Grasso’s Garage this week, Audi covers it all with the RS3. Not only is it a commuter-perfect sedan, but with that extra pep in the step from the 2.5-liter five-cylinder inline turbocharged engine, this sedan is more appealing and fun than it looks. At 401 hp and 369 pound-feet of torque, the five-seater sedan goes from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds and tops out at 155 mph.
Paired with a seven-speed S-tronic dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters, the RS3 is all business. Its all-wheel drive drivetrain was smooth and effortless as the RS3 soared into quick speeds around town, on the highway and everything in between. Its sports car status exemplifies the exterior and interior over its sister model, the A3. A raspy exhaust, 19-inch Y-spoke design wheels and blacked out badging and roof make it a real looker on the road. Our tester came with the ever-popular for 2022 Kemora Gray paint; it was awesome and really looked good on the RS-3 with black accents.
Heads-up display, all the technology that you can imagine while still being user friendly, safety features galore and comfort is what really stood out for us on our week-long tester. These additional features came to a total of $3,750 extra, but were well worth it. This included the RS Technology package, the RS Sport Exhaust, and Black Optic Plus packages.
At Grasso’s Garage, we really love performance. Audi clearly aims to satisfy both the wants list and the needs list. Whether you're a commuter or local driver, you'll want and need this in your fleet. It delivers great style and value, with decent fuel mileage to boot. Audi, I’m impressed.
