Author Louise O’Neill has revealed what life is like after moving in with her partner, Virgin Media news reporter Richard Chambers.
The pair spent the majority of the pandemic apart as Louise was based in Cork and Richard was in Dublin.
Richard previously lived with fellow Virgin Media News reporter Zara King during the pandemic and the two often shared their shenanigans on social media.

After three years of being together, Louise has relocated to Dublin to be with him.
The best-selling author didn’t let go of her farmhouse in West Cork that she renovated before lockdown as she said herself she likes having the best of both worlds.
Speaking to RSVP Live, Louise said that “it’s been really good" with "no fights so far!”
“The house is very close to my parents, which is very important to me because I’m very close with my family,” she explained.
“It’s very nice having the best of both worlds. I lived in Dublin for years and I lived in New York and then I moved home. I really love West Cork.”
“It’s funny because I found living in a small town so difficult for so many years and then when I came home I was able to see so many of the positive aspects of it.”
It’s not just moving that has kept Louise busy, last month she released her novel Idol which tells the story of Samantha, a hugely popular wellness influencer and author who writes about a sexual experience she had with her friend Lisa when she was a teenager.
However, Lisa doesn’t remember things the same way which sparks a race against time to stop her version of the truth getting out.
Keeping with the themes of her previous work, it opens a discussion about memory, consent, the cults of social media and wellness.
Louise says Richard loved the book and helped with the writing process by giving feedback.
“He’s always so fantastic with the books. He reads it and he’s always so encouraging and as he’s reading it he’s sort of taking notes and at the end he’ll give me the full lowdown of what he thought. He loved Idol, which was great," she said.
Richard has ventured into the world of writing as well, releasing his debut novel A State of Emergency last year.
Louise gushed about her boyfriend's book, saying: “He gave me sections to read and before I read it and I was like, I wonder what this will be like…I was so blown away, he just has a really natural talent.”
She joked that he could even do her job.
“It’s very annoying, isn’t it? Because I couldn’t present the news, but he can do my job! He’s naturally a very good storyteller and really brought the human element to that book. He’s very talented and I’m very proud of him.”
