An Australian TV presenter worked herself to sleep after putting in a 14-hour shift for the Queen's funeral.
Today show host Allison Langdon was in London on Monday to broadcast from Buckingham Palace for coverage Down Under. And the 43-year-old certainly seemed to be feeling the pace as she was spotted using a rolled up jacket for a pillow to take a quick nap.
The image was quickly shared on social media, tagging the presenter in it, before she re-shared it to her own Instagram Story and jokingly captioned it: "Hour 14. Everything is fine."
She has continued to her impressive coverage since the news of the Queen's death broke over a week ago. On the Friday after the sad announcement of the Queen's passing at the age of 96, Allison was on-screen wearing a black dress in a fitting tribute to her majesty.
She opted for a short-sleeved black number, while co-anchor chose a black suit instead of his usual navy attire. Shortly after, she travelled to the UK to continue coverage for the channel. She shared images from her time at Buckingham Palace to social media, showing her interview a number of mourners of all ages, as well as showing the Queen's coffin passing along the streets.
She said being on the ground in the English capital was "a privilege", captioning her post: "A privilege to watch the late Queen’s final departure from Buckingham Palace. A woman who meant so many things to so many people. What a farewell."
Fans took to her post to praise her coverage, with one commenting: "You are doing a great job, thanks for allowing us to feel a part of it!.. loving all your interviews with people Ali it’s been very interesting."
Another agreed, saying: "You and Karl are doing an excellent job for us back home, thank you."
The Queen's funeral and final final journey was broadcast around the globe on Monday and stars were out in force to pay tribute to the longest serving monarch in British history. Among those paying their respects was former footballer David Beckham.
Following his decision to queue for hours to pay his respects in person at the weekend, the ex-England captain took to Instagram to share his final thoughts. Alongside a snap of her majesty's coffin, he wrote: "Our Queen is home.. Today we said a final farewell to Her Majesty The Queen.
"This week the world has mourned the loss of a unique , inspirational & caring leader. People from all walks of life came together in their thousands to show gratitude for our beloved Queen.
"Alongside the incredible ceremony and tradition we have watched a loving family grieve for a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with dignity and dedication. Her legacy of service and devotion to duty will endure…Long live the King."
