Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner won two Grand Slams each last year and came into this month's tournament at the summit of the world rankings as hot favorites to retain their titles. Sinner is back on court today against experienced American Marcos Giron.

Looking to stop him winning back-to-back are the likes of 10-time champ Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Carlos Alcaraz who is hoping to complete his career Grand Slam aged just 21. Iga Świątek, Jasmine Paolini and Elena Rybakina are among those most likely to topple Sabalenka.

Świątek is first up on center court today against British threat Emma Raducanu. While Saturday's action in the Rod Laver Arena concludes with an all American clashh between Danielle Collins and Madison Keys.
